MISSIONS

Mary Hill Davis Missions Offering

Offering taken up throughout the month of September.  Who is Mary HIll Davis? Understanding that missions is what believers do to reach beyond the needs of their congregations to witness and minister for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission, WMU of Texas designed the Mary Hill Davis Offering to advance Texas Baptist missionary efforts to help people come to know Christ. Therefore, it is the goal of WMU of Texas to strengthen and support Texas missions opportunities through the Baptist General Convention of Texas. The offering makes possible missions ventures and sustains them until appropriately assimilated into other financial channels.

Children's Ministry at Round 'Em Up Cowboy Church

We love our kids! Our children's ministry works hard to teach our children the love of Christ in ways that are relevant to their development. We work with standard curriculums so that each Sunday is a consistent experience. Following Sunday song service, children are dismissed to attend age appropriate classes where they have the opportunity to learn from interactive Biblical lessons in a practical and fun environment reinforced with games, crafts and activities.  These classes are also offered on Wednesday night following our potluck dinner.

Additional Information

Welcome to the Round 'Em Up Cowboy Church. If you like the cowboy culture, you'll love us!  We are a church where everyone is welcome and everybody is somebody.  Round 'Em Up Cowboy Church is a family Church with a very relaxed atmosphere.  Cowboy in culture and music, but you don't have to be a cowboy or cowgirl to come and feel welcome.  Most people who come to cowboy church don't even own a horse.  They tell us they come because they like the relaxed atmosphere where they can be themselves.  The sermons here are always biblical and relevant.  You hear the word and then are able to apply it and actually live out your faith!  At Round 'Em Up Cowboy Church we are not about fancy formats or programs, we are just about finding real help from a real Savior!

Some people say they like the music at cowboy church. Our music consists of country music 'old and new' and gospel along with some of your favorite hymns you can sing along with presented by our own Open Range Band.

Coffee and snacks are always available before services, so come early. This is why most folks who check us out end up staying. So come on down, join us at Round 'Em Up Cowboy Church, as we seek to know our Savior better and follow the trail He left us. We believe you'll end up staying too!

You don't have to dress up. You just have to show up, and look up!

OUR PASTOR

Howdy folks,

I take pleasure in welcoming you to Round’em Up Cowboy Church!

We support and are supported by the Baptists of Texas, which have one of the greatest visions for Cowboy Churches in the world. Come and join us as we worship and get to know each other better. The atmosphere at Round’em up Cowboy Church is relaxed and friendly. We are a Cowboy Church but you don’t have to be a cowboy to worship. Come as you are. We don’t care how you’re dressed on the outside but we do care how you’re dressed on the inside. From our music to the messages, they are straight, simple with application and illustration for today’s life. There is something for everyone from children to adults.

Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will. (NIV)

Join us Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm for pot luck dinner with church services starting at 7:00 pm.

Sunday service begins at 10:30 am, but come early and enjoy a good ole cup of coffee or ice tea and donuts.

Look forward to seeing you.

Pastor Benny

HISTORY OF ROUND'EM UP COWBOY CHURCH

The beginning goes back to early 2005 and begins with Dr. Jim Gatliff, a Godly man of great vision. Dr. Gatliff approached me and asked if I would consider starting a Cowboy Church and my reply was “no”. I was pastoring a church I had only been at for five years and told him that God was doing a great work here and there was lots of unfinished business still at hand. Dr. Gatliff continued every few months to ask me if I would consider starting a cowboy church but my answer was still the same. One day, my brother Isaac suggested to me that I might be closing a door that God was placing before me. So around March 2006 I answered Dr. Gatliff with “I will pray and seek God’s will”. In my prayers, I asked God to not only confirm to me but also to my wife Suzan. In the meantime Dr. Gatliff and I would drive the countryside looking and praying over different areas to plant a Cowboy Church. In May 2006, God confirmed to us that we were to plant a Cowboy Church. Dr. Gatliff asked where I thought God wanted it and I replied, “Wills Point”. I feel stronger about this city than any other place we visited and prayed over. So, I gave a 30-day notice of resignation to Shady Grove Baptist Church in Greenville, TX. In June 2006 we held our first meeting at the Community Center in Wills Point. On the fourth week we named the church, “Round’Em Up Cowboy Church”. From the scripture Mathew 28:19 Therefore go (Round’Em Up) and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. NIV

We are Round’Em Up Cowboy Church, a body of baptized believers saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. “Everything got started in Him and finds purpose in Him”. Col. 1:16

Cowboy Up for Christ,
